Improving the quality thresholds in screening colonoscopy focused the discussion on the III Citrafleet Scientific Sessions

Casen Recordati held the 3rd consecutive edition of Citrafleet Scientific Sessions, one of the key events in Gastroenterology which gather in Madrid some of the national and international leaders in the field. The goal of this meeting is sharing KOL´s good practices in the management of screening colonoscopy. The background of the meeting was the importance in providing an accurate diagnose, to prevent a potential CRC and therefore a therapeutical guaranty to the patient.

Behind the title “Review of Quality in Screening Colonoscopy: Position statement of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE)“, the participants enjoyed with a discussion of the latest clinical recommendations about quality standards in Screening Colonoscopy.

Our prominent experts granted our audience with a precious debate about all the measures and procedures that should be taking into in account to reach the required quality thresholds in Screening.

Among the participants attending to the event, from more than ten countries, was memorable the distinguished presence of Dr. Ala Sharara, Professor and director of the Gastroenterology unit at the American University of Beirut (Lebanon); Dr. Javier Molina Infante, Coordinator of the Group of research of the Spanish Society of Gastroenterology; Dr. José Miguel Esteban Lopez-Jamar, Head of the Endoscopy Unit of the Clinic Hospital, San Carlos (Madrid); Dra. Monika Ferlitsch, Specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Clinic of Vienna (Austria); Dr. Prof. Arthur Hoffman, Senior Physician at the Medical Clinic Wiesbaden in Germany; Dr. Pedro Figueiredo, Member of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Coimbra (Portugal); and Prof. Dr. Miguel A. Muñoz-Navas, Director of the Digestive Department at the Clinic University of Navarra (Spain), who also performed as chairman the moderator at the event.

Casen Recordati meets the challenge of spreading among the international scientific community the importance in developing strategies which help clinicians to better diagnose and prevent CRC manifestations in an early stage by the reaching the excellence in quality.
